Community at Our Core

IncrEdible Trent Hills is a not-for-profit organization that aims to unite and nourish the communities of Trent Hills and beyond by supporting and strengthening the local food system. 

Growing from the “Campbellford Incredible Edibles Festival”, this organization operates year-round to offer events, programs, and outreach activities that encourage collaboration, creativity, awareness, and support for local food and those who produce it. We aim to inspire a love of local and grow a community that cares, through the universal language of food.

Mission

IncrEdible Trent Hills nurtures the local food community through the development of projects and events that celebrate, educate, and advocate for local food.

Purpose

IncrEdible Trent Hills aims to foster community collaboration toward three objectives:

  • Raise the profile of food in relation to personal and community wellness and vibrancy;
  • Build bridges between abundance and insecurity; and
  • Support economic and environment-related goals of local agriculture, service, and tourism-related businesses.
 

Values

  • We recognize food as an essential source for maintaining life and value it as a common thread that binds us.
  • We value partnership building and encourage collaboration and support of our local businesses, organizations, community groups, and individuals.
  • We take pride in the community and landscape of Trent Hills, and celebrate the abundance, variety, and beauty of our home and all it offers.
  • We see the combination of environmental sustainability and local economic development as critical components for a resilient community and aim to support all creative and food-related economic activities.
