Growing from the “Campbellford Incredible Edibles Festival”, this organization operates year-round to offer events, programs, and outreach activities that encourage collaboration, creativity, awareness, and support for local food and those who produce it. We aim to inspire a love of local and grow a community that cares, through the universal language of food.

We acknowledge with gratitude that our work at IncrEdible Trent Hills happens on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg and the Haudenosaunee. As part of our commitment to truth and reconciliation, we strive to recognize and honour Indigenous voices within our programs and events. Each year, we dedicate space at our festival for a self-identified Indigenous small business to share their work. We also prioritize sourcing from local Indigenous growers and makers whenever possible, and we provide opportunities for the community to learn about Indigenous foodways and the ongoing contributions of Indigenous Peoples.
These steps are part of our continuing effort to walk respectfully, listen deeply, and build meaningful connections on this land.
In 2023, IncrEdible Trent Hills undertook an extensive, in-depth Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) organizational review. Since then, we have taken meaningful steps to ensure that everyone has a place at our table. We have created accessible community garden beds, ensured accessible vendor spaces at our festival, and offer Zoom-based training and paperwork options for vendors to reduce barriers. Members of our leadership team have completed the Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity for Leadership training through Skills Bridge (Ontario Chamber of Commerce), and training opportunities are available to all team and board members. We have also embedded EDIA principles into our vendor selection criteria to better reflect the diversity of our community.
In addition, we are working to:

At IncrEdible Trent Hills, we are committed to good governance that is transparent, accountable, and rooted in community voice. We ensure that decision-making processes are clear and accessible, share outcomes openly with our members and participants, and actively seek input from the community to guide our programs and events. By embedding these principles into our leadership and operations, we strive to build trust, foster collaboration, and ensure that our organization reflects the values and needs of the people we serve.
At IncrEdible Trent Hills, we are committed to environmental responsibility in all that we do. Our volunteers help divert waste from landfills at our festival and events, and we prioritize local food vendors to reduce environmental impact while supporting our community. We engage in ongoing staff learning through internal meetings, webinars, and partnerships to strengthen our green practices. Through initiatives like our Farm Tour, we create opportunities for people to connect more closely with where their food comes from, fostering a deeper respect for the land that sustains us.

At IncrEdible Trent Hills, we are committed to celebrating and supporting local food producers, artisans, and small businesses. Each year, we showcase at least 20% new vendors, with priority given to those close to our community, helping them connect with audiences who value fresh, local products. Through our events and programs, we strive to strengthen the local food ecosystem, nurture small businesses, and highlight the incredible talent and dedication of those who grow, make, and share food in Trent Hills and surrounding areas.
We are committed to nurturing the next generation of food leaders and community-minded citizens. Through initiatives like our Chef Andrade Taste of the Future Scholarship, we support students pursuing post-secondary culinary arts, and our school nutrition programs provide hands-on learning about healthy food, growing, and cooking. By offering opportunities for youth to explore, create, and connect with where their food comes from, we aim to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for local food and community.
